CNC Programmer- Clevedon

Are you looking to join an established, well known Manufacturer? Do you have CNC programming experience, with a desire to improve efficiency?  If yes, this could be the role for you...

Our client, a major manufacturer of bearings for the automotive and aerospace industry, is looking for a Production Engineer with CNC Programming reporting to the Senior Engineering Team Leader.  You will be expected to support production, new product and new processes via standard and CAD-CAM driven programs to support the business goals and objectives.

An attractive salary package with pension, flexi hours, bonus with potential of 10% of salary.

What would you do?

  • Create, modify, and improve CNC programs for existing and new machinery
  • Effectively manage the control and standardisation of CNC programs, methods, and tooling
  • Support implementation of new CNC equipment
  • Support production output by resolving technical deviations
  • Have a direct impact on improving SLR and efficiency by improving manufacturing processes
  • Create and modify parametrically driven CAD models, for stage drawings and tooling
  • Support the implementation of MES and Industry 4.0 activities
  • Support NPI activities - validating ETO Level 3 new processes
  • Provide general CAD support for 3D printing tasks and shopfloor layout optimisation
  • Manage the Seiki DNC, Air and Jobpack software onsite
  • Provide out of hours support on occasion to help Production achieve its goals
  • Support standardisation and training via good documentation
  • Be responsible for own health and safety and that of others

What are we looking for?

  • CAD modelling and 2D drawings - including parametric-driven models
  • CAM program creation and management
  • Experience of CNC programming for single and multi-functional equipment
  • Process knowledge of either turning, milling and/or grinding
  • New Product Introduction experience
  • Technical Apprenticeship or HND, with CNC manufacturing experience
  • Driven individual who is a self-starter and can work well as part of a team
  • Reliable and organised individual
  • Working knowledge of SAP/Siemens NX/Fanuc controls - desirable
  • IOSH trained is - desirable
  • Lean or 6sigma trained - desirable
