Electrical Systems Test Engineer

£28K - £33K plus quarterly and yearly profit share, and generous benefits package.

We are looking for an Electrical Systems Test Engineer to join a leading standby power solutions Company. Based in Clevedon, our client’s capability runs from design through production, testing, installation, commissioning and maintenance. It’s a rarity to join a Company where so much happens under one roof!

Within this role you will report to the Production Manager initially taking responsibility for testing single and three phase DC battery charger systems up to 500A and 220V, as well as AC UPS systems.

Scope within this role also includes training of new service engineers in the business, design of test equipment and taking ownership of standard operating procedures and test instructions.

Role overview;

  • Electrical Test work at final point of release on bespoke and standard products
  • Provide fault finding down to component level on both through hole and surface mount PCBs
  • Undertake Control Panel test work
  • To ensure quality standards and records are maintained
  • To maintain test equipment to required standards and calibrate as necessary

Qualifications / Knowledge required;

  • 18th edition desirable
  • Electronic fault finding to component level desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic wiring diagrams and associated technical drawings.
  • Microsoft Word & Excel and preferably LabView
  • Knowledge of IEC wiring regulations
