Import/Export Customs Facilitator – Desford (WFH/Hybrid)

Initial 12 month contract - likely to extend as long as the business need is there!

PAYE & Umbrella contracts available – rates depending on experience

We are looking for an Import/Export Customs Facilitator to join our client’s Global shipping team in Desford on an initial 12 month contract, which is likely to be ongoing for the right person as long as the business need is there! Currently working in the office 2/3 days a week.

What would the Import/Export Customs Facilitator do?

  • Working with a third-party customs provider to make sure the facility is HMRC compliant.
  • Making sure that products are imported/exported properly within compliance requirements
  • Dealing with internal stakeholders and the end client ensuring that all the documentation is correct
  • Maintaining high standards with managing shipments leaving the site
  • Dangerous goods analysis and shipment.
  • Responsibility for assisting with machine shipments
  • Being involved with projects within the import and export department

What skills and experience will the Import/Export Customs Facilitator have?

  • Previous experience of working within an Imports/Export administration role, or if you are a recent graduate – a keenness to pursue a career in logistics & supply chain!
  • Planning & organising skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines, whilst paying excellent attention to detail
  • IT Literate with MS Products (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work on own initiative, and to also be a team player with a flexible approach and strong problem-solving skills
  • Power BI experience would be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of EU and UK Customs Legislation (Desirable)
  • Understanding of import, export, shipping and inventory transactions (Desirable)
