As the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team, driving process improvements, and implementing innovative manufacturing solutions that align with our manufacturing strategy for world leading construction equipment.
In brief what will you do;
- Lead team of Engineers, Technicians and Degree Apprentices to meet Manufacturing standards.
- Attendance at various shop floor performance reviews, to build loss/defect intelligence and set priorities for team. Understanding operational pain points and plan resolves.
- Provide specialised engineering technical support to various areas of the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement for People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics.
- Training and developing teams capable of completing business objectives and perform and support the plant operating functions.
- Coordinating Torque tool implementation, tool design, assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimating, systems planning, layout, standards, releasing, etc.
- Coordinating capital projects for process enhancement and to improve customer satisfaction, conducting research and ensuring proper approvals.
- Coordinating the installation of new machines and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts.
What we’re looking for from you as Manufacturing Engineer;
- Technical or university degree in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field, or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in Lean leadership and 6 Sigma methodologies.
