EHS Project Manager - Initial 2 Year Contract - Stockton

Competitive Hourly Rates available

The EHS Project Manager needs to undertake activities to ensure facility EHS compliance. Demonstrate a sound understanding of manufacturing EHS and develop robust relationships to enable the implementation of the required improvements.

A breadth of knowledge and experience including EHS regulations, programs, and policy development from consultation to implementation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organizations operations and works with EHS manager or corporate EHS to establish guidelines for protection from those hazards.
  • Prepares or reviews EHS training materials for the facility.
  • Investigates and establishes standards for protective equipment.
  • Performs self-assessments of safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
  • Generating and/or reviewing of reports for environmental (EPA) and safety (OSHA) agencies.

Experience required

  • A technical degree and 1 to 3 years of previous experience is highly desired, and consideration will be given to equivalent EHS experience.
  • NEBOSH qualified, diploma or NRC level 6.
  • A strong understanding of EHS regulations and corporate standards is essential.
  • Experience in delivering compliance-based projects.
  • Puwer experience.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary.
