Technical Sales Support Engineer – Emissions/Pollution
Permanent, salary: up to £41,000 depending on experience
Bonus: role is eligible for the annual bonus plan which targets 15% of your salary at OTE
Based on site in Bedford (MK45)
40 hours a week (Mon – Fri, 08.00 – 16.30 or 08.30 – 17.00)

We’re looking for Technical Sales Support Engineers who have Emissions/Pollution experience/knowledge to join a leading Automotive Test facility. The successful Technical Sales Support Engineer will join a Company offering customisable vehicle testing solutions, which include; proving grounds and laboratories for vehicle engineering and homologation for transport, agricultural and defence industries (amongst others!)
Acting as an engineering technical reference point within the Commercial Team, as a Technical Sales Support Engineer you will provide quote-writing support to the Sales Administration Coordinators for fully standard Emissions/Pollution test procedures, as well as taking the lead on more complex requirements regarding emissions/Pollution testing.
What would the Technical Sales Support Engineer – Emissions/Pollution do?
- Technical qualification of leads and opportunities
- Interpretation of customer requirements and procedures
- Provide customer consultative guidance in determining the optimum test solution
- Provide support to the Sales organisation in attending technical customer meetings
- Collation of technical information
- Primary responsibility for preparation of technical quotations and Statements Of Work
- Provide commercial support to the Operational Project Manager
What skills and experience will the Technical Sales Support Engineer – Emissions/Pollution need?
- Sales /customer experience mindset, within an automotive or transportation setting
- Comfortable writing technical quote content in a clear, concise, professional format
- A degree or equivalent experience in the field of automotive emissions/pollution testing
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Good understanding of H&S practices
