‎Our client, in the top 100 of the Forbes 500 list, is a global presence and world leader in their field. They are growing a significant community of data analysts, comprising a diverse selection of analysts who tackle challenges and problems that are critical to the business.  Their data engineers work with data scientists, business analysts, and others as part of a team that assembles large, complex data sets that provide our client’s competitive advantage.

Our client is seeking a data engineer to join their team on an interim/agency basis.  The role is remote/WFH but there will be occasions where in-person team meetings would be required on site.

What would you do?

Build and maintain code/script infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources

Help identify process improvements, and action them

Automate manual processes, re-designing infrastructure to suit

Perform debugging, troubleshooting, modifications and unit testing

Operationalize the developed jobs and processes and processes.

Create databases and infrastructure to facilitate processing data at scale

Perform database administration duties

Engage directly with business partners

Carry out training where required

Keep up to date with current and emerging tech trends

‎What are we looking for?

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or STEM related fields.

2-3 years software development experience (Python, Java)

Understanding of SQL, ETL design, and data modelling techniques

Experience in snowflake, GIT, Jenkins, AWS/Azure DevOps would be a distinct advantage

Working knowledge of Agile Software development methodology.

And a passion for acquiring, analysing, and transforming data to generate insights!
