Electronic Design Engineer – Power Electronics

Clevedon | Hybrid working
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE + excellent company benefits

We are currently recruiting for a talented Electronic Design Engineer – Power Electronics to join a growing Design Team based in Clevedon. This is a hands-on role, ideal for an engineer who enjoys developing innovative power and control electronics and wants to work across the full product lifecycle.

You will be involved in projects focused on the development of advanced charging solutions, contributing to innovative and sustainable technologies for the future!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and developing power and control circuits, including SMPS
  • Creating high-quality PCB layouts using OrCAD
  • Supporting new product development from concept through to production
  • Working closely with production, test and service teams to optimise designs
  • Testing, validating and troubleshooting electronic designs using industry-standard equipment

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Power Electronics, Embedded Electronics, or a related discipline
  • Experience in circuit design and PCB layout
  • Knowledge of power electronics and SMPS design
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, PSUs, analysers, function generators, etc.)
  • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm to develop technical expertise
