37 hours a week -Monday – Friday
Up to £17.65 PAYE hourly rate OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £23.95

You will be playing a key role in supporting both existing and next-generation engine programs, contributing directly to a business that is actively developing solutions for a low-carbon future. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a variety of machining tasks to support current and new R&D programs
- Operate conventional lathes, milling, grinding, and boring machines to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow technical instructions
- Use measuring equipment such as vernier callipers, depth gauges, and thread gauges
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and standard work procedures within the R&D environment
- Collaborate with engineers, machining coordinators, and wider team members to meet production deadlines
What You Will Need
- Experience operating conventional machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinding, boring)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools
- Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Machining, or equivalent
- Experience with Mazak 5-axis, Mazatrol Smooth X, FeatureCam, or Haas Fanuc controls is advantageous
