Facilities Project Engineer

Permanent/Bedford

Salary up to £45k (D.O.E) plus excellent company benefits!

We are looking for a Facilities Project Engineer to join our client’s Facilities department, who are responsible for managing and maintaining physical assets across their global locations.

As a Facilities Project Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to develop your expertise on a complex site, working alongside excellent team. You’ll support the day-to-day challenges of managing facilities and maintenance, contribute to major projects and help ensure compliance with building regulations and internal procedures.

What would the Facilities Project Engineer do?

  • Collaborate with the Facilities team on new buildings, facility upgrades and major maintenance projects
  • Assist in the project management and delivery of construction and maintenance initiatives
  • Manage CapEx budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and innovation
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site construction work, recording data in relevant software
  • Develop skills in CAD and project management tools
  • Create risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment

What skills and experience will the Facilities Project Engineer need?

  • Strong project management, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Degree or equivalent in a construction-related discipline (preferred) HNC/HND in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience in facilities or construction project management is beneficial
  • Familiarity with CAD software and Construction Design Management (CDM) 2015 and an understanding of the construction RIBA stages
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of Health and Safety practices

Additional Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license and access to own transport
  • Willingness to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check
