Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician
Initial 12 Month Contract - highly likely to be extended!
37.5 hours a week: 6:30am – 15:00pm Mon-Thurs, 6.30am – 12 Noon Fri
Overtime could be available
Up to £17.70 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £24.20 - depending on experience
We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to provide support at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Leicester. Ideally you will have a background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, gained from an industrial/ manufacturing environment.
Our client is a Fortune 100 worldwide manufacturer of construction and mining products. You’ll be working as part of a diverse team; where due to the size of the business, every day is different - there will be planned and unplanned works. Currently the team are updating their maintenance management system and driving integration and automation, there’s lots of exciting changes which you could be part of! Whilst this is initially a 12 month contract, it’s highly likely to extend.
What will you do:
- Maintain equipment and use a computerised maintenance system
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to equipment
- Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions on industrial/assembly equipment, machinery and building as required
- Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules
- Order replacement parts and stocks
What Qualifications and Experience are needed:
- You will have successfully completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and have demonstrated experience in both Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance
- Have a fully flexible approach to the job role & responsibilities and prepared to carryout “out of hours working” as required
- The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures
- Good critical thinking skills, necessary to get to the root cause of issues
- Experience in using PLC based systems would be an advantage
