We have an exciting assignment on offer to help the Company meet the deadlines of some really exciting projects that are coming up!
The successful applicant for this position will join the Component Engineering department and will take responsibility for the development of Core engine components and systems. Core components includes in-cylinder, block/head, sealing systems, bolted joints, bearings, geartrain, pumps, lubrication & cooling system componentry, FEAD. Included within these systems is a strong focus on CO2 reduction enabling technologies.
Taking component ownership is required for this role so we're looking for technical project leadership of the delivery of engine components & systems as a result Engineers should be experienced in performing several of the below:
Key skills for this role are data extraction/analysis, failure analysis and problem solving, application of simulation tools and methods, and practical application of theory and concepts.
What will you be doing:

Execution of Core Engine System validation consisting of static & dynamic rigs, dyno and machine testing

Conducting risk assessment through effective FMEA generation on components and systems to identify and address design risks and determine validation needs.

Be capable of understanding technical issues as they arise and execute root cause analysis through relevant tools, methods, data analysis and testing to resolve the issue

Conduct or generate reports to support component and system design reviews

Working in a multi-disciplined team to ensure solutions meet customer, durability and functional requirements
