£25k depending on experience (£30-£40k OTE)

An opportunity has arisen for a Public Sector Account Manager to join a large and fast-growing IT reseller.

Job Description:

As the Public Sector Account Manager, you will be managing and developing all the company’s Public Sector customers (Central Government, Blue Light and Education).You will advise clients on solutions and services that best fulfil their requirements, undertaking full assessments and analysis of client’s needs.

Key Tasks:

• Hunt for new business within the Public Sector
• Manage and develop key major accounts within the Public Sector
• Work with Marketing, Pre-sales and Product Management to implement the company’s key message
• Meet clients, lead presentations and negotiate pricing
• Manage customer/supplier/distribution relationships

Knowledge & Experience:  

Applicants should preferably have the following skills and experience;

• Computer literate (good level required in Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to communicate confidently with both internal and external contacts
• Solid business acumen and presentation skills
• Consistent track record with a proven ability to hit sales targets
• Success within the public sector desirable
• 1-2 years sales experience – within the IT/Public Sector industry desirable
