12-month contract – with potential to extend
Full Time: 07:30-16:00 Monday-Thursday, 07:30-10:30 Friday
Up to £15.50 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution, OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £21.23
You will be supporting a wide variety of logistics topics while working with a Fortune 100 company at their Desford site, where engineering and manufacturing come together to make tomorrow a better day, and the world a better place. This is the perfect role for you if you are passionate about communication, a team player, organised and numerically minded, and like being kept on your toes!
This is a practical, fast-moving role at the centre of site logistics. You will be helping to keep a 200-vehicle materials handling fleet running smoothly, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to solve problems, manage admin, and keep operations flowing. No two days are the same, and your ability to stay organised and build strong relationships will make a real difference.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the Logistics Planning team with day-to-day tasks like data entry, printing, laminating, and ordering goods
- Managing fleet invoicing and raising purchase orders for repairs and services
- Keeping Excel records up to date and learning to use Coupa/Next Gen ordering systems
- Resolving invoicing disputes and making sure payments are processed on time
- Coordinating tyre fitters, windscreen replacements, and other fleet services
- Building relationships across departments to improve communication and fleet visibility
- Following site Health & Safety policies and living the company’s values: integrity, commitment, excellence, and teamwork
What you will bring:
- A sharp eye for detail and a well-organised approach
- Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
- At least 2 years’ experience in logistics or administration
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment (e.g. reach trucks, counterbalance) is a bonus
- Experience with Coupa or Next Gen systems is desirable
