Warehouse & Logistics Operator - Clevedon 

12 month FTC

37.5 hours a week with an early finish on a Friday!

Our client is a major manufacturer of bearings for the automotive and aerospace industries, they are truly global with a presence in over 129 countries! They are looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Operator to join their Logistics team, working on site in their Clevedon office.

This is an entry level position, where you will learn  all the relevant tasks to support the logistics team.  It is a busy position and would suit a person who can multi-task and is proactive in their approach.

What would the Warehouse & Logistics Operator do?

  • Goods in/out tasks including stock management, liaising with shippers, packing, loading & unloading and stock takes.
  • Liaising with the Procurement Coordinator and other departments to ensure goods are delivered/stored correctly.
  • Basic planning tasks including batch card management.
  • Ensure Health & Safety /Manual Handling tasks are carried out correctly and compliantly.
  • To carry out 5S (continuous improvement) tasks on a regular basis.
  • To carry out any other appropriate duties when and if requested.
  • Delivery driving and FLT driving could become part of the role.

What skills and experience will the Warehouse & Logistics Operator need?

Essential

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and methodically.
  • Good numeracy & IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with your team and colleagues in other departments
  • A reliable and enthusiastic individual

Desirable

  • A Full Drivers licence and FLT licence.
  • Experience of manual handling of high value items.
  • Experience of SAP or similar ERP system.
