Working Hours Monday-Thursday 7.30am-4pm Fri 7.30am-12.30pm (during 3 month probation)
Following Probation Presently on Late Shift Monday - Thursday 2pm-Midnight
Salary>£29k DOE + 30% shift allowance (c £37,700 OTE)+ generous holiday entitlement + pension (including salary sacrifice), cycle to work and EV scheme, Simple Health Level 3
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a busy aerospace manufacturing environment, working within a skilled quality team focused on the inspection of small to medium-sized precision aerospace components.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in precision engineering or aerospace quality inspection, who can ensure full compliance to customer specifications, AS9102, AS9100 Rev D, and Rolls-Royce SABRe4 standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Conduct detailed inspection and measurement of precision aerospace components using a wide range of manual and advanced measuring equipment
· Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements
· Develop and maintain quality inspection plans
· Manage non-conforming products and support corrective actions
· Conduct internal non-conformance investigations using quality tools such as 8D and 5Why
· Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits
· Assist with the development and implementation of new measuring equipment
· Ensure ongoing compliance with AS9100 Rev D and customer-specific standards
· Liaise closely with production, engineering, and internal departments on quality-related concerns
· Support continuous improvement initiatives across the inspection function
What We’re Looking For
· Practical experience inspecting precision engineered components
· Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
· Knowledge of SPC and process quality tools
· Experience with quality methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
· Team player with flexibility and proactive attitude
Desirable
· Minimum 3years’ experience in aerospace quality inspection
· AS9100 / ISO9001 audit knowledge
· Experience with CMMs and profile tracers
· Knowledge of NADCAP special processes
· Calibration knowledge
· Engineering or quality-related qualifications
