37 Hours a week Monday– Friday
Up to £34.60p/h PAYE plus holiday and pension contribution OR up to £46.96/h Umbrella

What the Engine Components Design Engineer - Air / Fuel Systems will do:
· Design,Plan and deliver air/fuel system/component development projects to time, cost and quality goals
· Communicate design and project status and key issues to peers, stakeholders and management
· Lead design reviews to gain cross-functional business support for new designs,supplier nomination and capital investment
· Collaborate with suppliers to develop specifications and deliver quality solutions throughAPQP
· Assess technical risk through FMEA; define and coordinate simulation and validationactivities (DVP&R)
· Investigate and resolve technical issues using 8D methodology
· Collaborate with Product Management to understand customer needs and design requirements
· Write and review technical information and technical reports to support production design release
· Collaborate with global teams to implement engineering solutions at worldwide facilities
What the Engine Components Design Engineer - Air / Fuel Systems Will Need:
· Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering OR related discipline (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
· 6+years of relevant engineering experience
· Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, engine components and/or systems and component development
· Design experience:
o Experience of using CAD (Creopreferred) to design powertrain components
o Experience of using PLM systems(Teamcenter)
o Experience designing powertrain and/or engine components
o Regularly supporting peer reviews working with others to share learning and develop robust solutions
o Use of research techniques to identify solutions to problems autonomously
o Good understanding of manufacturing principles and processes
· Self-motivatedand able to manage and deliver complex projects to meet commitments
· Effective communication skills and teamwork
